The mudguards on this classi Dutch Gazelle bike, take some beating. These will keep your clothes dry and clean in pretty much any weather.

This bike is really geared up for keeping your clothes clean. Notice the dress guard over back wheel and chain guard – to avoid oily trousers. An excellent choice for the fashion conscious cyclist.

It’s the kind of bike I admire for its aesthetic qualities, but, its also the kind of bike I wouldn’t want to ride myself. BTW: It is heavy to pick up.

It’s not just mudguards that keep you dry, the mudflap on the front mudguard is absolutely essential for dry feet (and a clean bike – reduces chain maintenance really a lot by not spraying gritty water onto the chain). One material that is strong, light and cheap for making mudflaps are the PET throw-away drinks bottles.
