Ammaco 3000 Series Bikes

ammaco

The Ammaco 3000 AS Series road bike.

Not the best known bike, Ammaco is quite hard to track down, they don’t seem to have a website, which doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. I heard they were made by PCM Group Ltd, but, I’m not sure.

This bikes looks in good condition and I like the look, though the brakes seem a throw back to 1980s fashion. It kind of looks strange a very modern design in terms of paint and then these old fashioned brake levers. The gears are mounted on the handlebars.

6061 lightweight aluminum frame which is pretty good.

Maybe OK for an entry level bike. But, if possible consider some of these slightly more expensive entry level bikes

Ammaco are better known for offering cheap hybrid bikes, frequently sold from discount cycle producers like Cycle King.

I don’t think lack of a website is relavant – all sorts of dodgy bleeders have websites.

It’s a good bike; can’t see to clearly if the brakes are as old as you think (probably) – it’s certainly time for centre-pull at least, I’d have thought.
However, one of the better ones

I’m new to AMMACO bikes, I hadn’t heard of them till I bought a bike for my daughter (AMMACO SWEET DREAMS – 5 ~ 8yrs range) I got it 2nd hand off ebay but its a really nice bike. Full suspension front and mono strut back, 6 gears for her to crash about and most importantly its all ally, so its very light – which she really likes (her old bike was very sturdy but also very heavy)
Very difficult to find anything about the company tho which is a pity, they seem to make a decent bike.
