A fixed tourer by Nicasso reservoir. Nice shiny silver mudguards. Bike looks in great shape. Obviously, they musn’t have 1 in 5 (20%) climbs in California
A misty California morning

Hi Tejvan,
I’m not sure about 1 in 5 hills but there are certainly a few 1 in 10s! I had a great days cycling in the Santa Cruz mountains near Saratoga recently that had a few testing climbs along the way. I hired a beautifully set up road bike from the Silicon Valley Cycling Center, , for $75, which I thought was very reasonable for such a fine carbon-framed road bike. I’d heartily recommend the centre to all visiting cyclists.
