The sign is a memorial to three bishops Latimer, Ridley, and Cramner, who were burnt at the stake for their religious beliefs in 1556.

Proof that humanity is making a little progress. A spot which was once a place for burning people at the stake for their religious beliefs is now a cycle stand.
