I wondered why no one had left any comments in the past two weeks. What with hobbling around on one leg, I half expected a flood of sympathy, or at least a few peg leg jokes from my 26.5 global visitors.
Anyway, I found out it was due to an anti-spam plugin, which was overly officious in a jobs-worth kind of way. Anyone who tried to leave a comment, got a nice message in Dutch saying – ‘DO I not like that!, Tally Ho!” – Well actually I have no idea, I can’t speak Dutch.

By the way, after all, my mystery calf-strain turned out to be a blood clot, DVT. So in past two days, a serious amounts of needles been stuck in my body. So if you want to leave a witty comment about clots and needle pricks, now’s your chance!

DVT *IS* serious! People die from that often enough, particularly on long trans-atlantic flights – but I guess you know that. Jings, take care!

I would like a future post just for random things you see on your bike – I am never quite organised enough to take photos of the weird and wonderful sights you see early on Sunday mornings!

Yes I did try to leave you a comment. It was along the lines of wishing you a good recovery and a totally unsympathetic remark about making sure you’ve shaved your legs properly in case you end up in hospital….
