    Hi Tejvan,

    Even though it’s great that it’s separated from the road, I always find that cycle path in the top picture a bit perplexing. As shown in your pictures, people go in both directions and not always in one lane or the other, so you have to dodge people going the wrong way. It would be better if they brought the blocks in a bit and made it one lane, then segregated the lane on the other side of the road. Not meaning to rant, I just don’t think that cycle infrastructure is a ‘good’ example, despite being better than most.

    Don’t get me started on the london road cycle lanes in headington… ;D

      I think one advantage of that cycle lane is that you can get from the river cycle path to a school off Iffley road without having to cross Donnington Bridge road. Perhaps that was their thinking.

        You’re correct for people leaving meadow lane and going to the tow path, but from the river to the school is what I would say is the correct direction anyway. Going south, if they don’t go to the tow path and continue then they have to cross anyway, or cycle on the wrong side against the traffic when the blocks run out.
