Balloons Mark the Spot

Ride to school. I like the pink blanket to keep warm. Balloons were left around Oxford to celebrate or probably to mark some protest. The Gazelle has marvellous front mudguards, no danger of getting splashed from those.   enjoying ride into town.

Foot Bike

The Foot Bike or the Big Man’s Skateboard Ever wanted a glorified skateboard to get around town when  you don’t have a bicycle? I can’t say I can think of an instance when I would want to use this foot bike, but I’m sure it could be useful in some circumstances. It works pretty well, […]

It seems that people cycling shorter distances naturally veer towards a very low cadence. Sometimes you see someone pushing such a big gear […]

Penalties for Careless Driving

Penalties for Careless Driving

Maybe I shouldn’t mock National days (National Roundabout appreciation day) – I just found out that it is National Walk to Work Week (Dept of Transport) Other potential good news for road users is a government initiative to fine on the spot careless driving. The fixed penalty notices have been designed with a view to […]

National Roundabout Appreciation Day

Today, May 11th is National Roundabout Appreciation Day. Actually it isn’t National Roundabout Appreciation day (sorry to disappoint)  but it wouldn’t surprise me if we get one some time. After all we have an official National beanpole week, National Bubble Wrap Appreciation Day (31 January), National Pie Week (7 to 13 March), National Cleavage Day […]
