In an age of computers and printed sheets, I was quite taken by this results board, someone was beautifully writing all names and times. That’s what I love about time trials, sometimes you think you’ve entered a time warp.
A typical scene in a village hall, with everyone crowding around results board.
Tomorrow morning is 10 mile time trial at ungodly hour of 8.30am. That means getting up at 5.30 to start eating.
No, if anything, I make sure I don’t eat solid food for 2-3 hours.
I tend to have 1 or 2 liquid gels, 30-40 mins before.
You need to eat much before a 10?
