Just to prove Chris Froome’s time trials have come on a long way. Nice reminder of Michael Rasmusen’s great example of how not to ride a time trial. I don’t know how he managed to fall superman style into the ditch.
Buxton MTT video (trailer)
I thought this video by Bhima Bowden was great. (The Snow was from the 2012 edition). You might spot me at some points. Related Buxton MTT results My blogĀ on Buxton MTT
A Typical British Cycle lane video
A short journey from British Cycling on Vimeo. A typical ‘British’ cycle lane. I probably wouldn’t use the cycle lane that takes you away from the road. I don’t see how it’s safer to have to cross two lanes and rejoin a major carriageway. Related Complete guide to Cycle paths
Fastest Bike Change
I love this video from the world championships. I keep looking at it trying to work out how it’s done. Jauregui from Jacky Durand on Vimeo. I also love the way the French bike mechanic laughs afterwards saying ‘ I really don’t know how that happened’!
Commuting and the Tour De France
I really enjoyed this video, commuting to work with commentary from the Tour de France. Very clever (good bit starts after first minute) I love the podium where he is given his ‘blue jersey’ of a doctor’s apron by two nurses. related The Real guide to Commuter racing

City Of Joy from daniel fiantok on Vimeo. This is a fascinating video because: It’s great to see so many people on bicycles Why does this look like some kind of toy model, with little lego figures cycling around? A note on critical mass bike rides Critical mass bike rides seem a thing of the […]
Video BTTC 2010
Just as a follow up to last week’s post on the 2010 BTTC. BBC news published a short video about race. You can see video here, though if you live outside UK, BBC may not allow you to see it.
Cycling Ads
Here’s a good idea for an ad campaign. Get all the best football players in the world – Ronaldo, Rooney, Kaka, Drogba pay them tons of money and then as they shine in the World Cup, your company will look really good. Nike write the future Alas, the stars failed and suddenly ‘write the future’ […]
Hovis Bike Ads
Here’s a thing if you want to get some good publicity for your product – feature a Bike and Victoria Pendleton. Apparently, Hovis is Britain’s best loved ad – at least according to market research done by Hovis. Victoria Pendleton Signs for Hovis and explains the benefits of cycling and eating Hovis bread.
Urban Cycling Skills Video
Really great video of Inspired Bicycles team rider Danny MacAskill video taken by Dave Sowerby. I never knew some of these things could be done on a bike. Very impressive!
